StudyMarket Austria is the data controller for personal data collected through this service. Contact: privacy@studymarket.at.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: email, display name, university, avatar.
  • Seller data: bio, payout details, listings.
  • Transaction data: orders, amounts, timestamps.
  • Technical data: IP, browser, device, cookies.

3. Why we process your data (Art. 6 GDPR)

  • Performance of contract: account, payments, downloads.
  • Legal obligation: tax, accounting, KYC.
  • Legitimate interest: security, fraud prevention, analytics.
  • Consent: marketing emails (opt-in only).

4. Processors

We use a small number of EU/EEA processors: our hosting provider, our payment provider (for checkout and payouts), and an email-delivery service for transactional emails. They process data on our behalf under DPA agreements.

5. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Transaction records are kept for 7 years to comply with Austrian tax law. You can request deletion of other data at any time.

6. Your rights
